Student moves are usually small, flexible and time-sensitive. Our man and van service is designed for exactly that: one or two students, a few boxes, a suitcase or two, and a short trip across town or between cities.

Student moving tips
Travel light
Most students overpack. Take only what you need for the term and leave bulky kitchen items if your new place is already furnished.
Share the cost
If you and a friend are moving to the same city or area, share a van and split the cost. It's often cheaper than two separate trips.
Book early for term changeover
The weeks at the end of June and September are the busiest. Book as soon as you know your dates to get the best price.
Use proper boxes
Supermarket boxes can collapse. Use sturdy boxes, tape the bottoms well, and label everything by room.
Pack a first-night bag
Keep bedding, toiletries, a change of clothes, phone charger and any medication in a separate bag you can access immediately.
Check access at both ends
Halls and student houses often have stairs, no lifts and limited parking. Let us know so we can plan the right crew and timing.

Typical student prices
Most student moves use our 1 man + van service, charged at £60/hour with a 2-hour minimum. If you have a lot of boxes or need help carrying, a 2 men + van booking at £90/hour is often better value.
Minimum 2-hour booking. Long-distance student moves are quoted as fixed prices.
